One person away from barricade for Avenged Sevenfold made this easily one of the top shows I’ve been to in 2011. Everything was soooooo fucking worth it! It totally blew away the first time I saw them back in 2008. They had Brian play a riff just for the fun of having a circle pit. And can I say witnessing up close his solos made me absolutely happy inside. That and their fucking backdrop and props were just blowing my mind.
What made it ultra special was that Jimmy’s parents attended this show and we had our lighters and phones out for him while they sang So Far Away. It was truly a beautiful and touching moment.
Also I’ve heard of Hollywood Undead, but never listened to them before, and they were awesome. Me and Aimee were making fun of their masks saying it was like Phantom of the Opera all up in there. Haha.
